People Serve To Learn Until They Have Learned Where To Serve. We each have a purpose. We each have a mission. We each have a part in building God's Kingdom. The Christian journey is not one you can take by yourself. Jesus calls us to live out our faith in the context of community. It is through enduring our struggles that we learn about God. It is in serving others that we learn about life. It is through living in community that we learn about love. Our goal as a church is for each person to live out his or her life's purpose and to daily manifest the fruits of the Holy Spirit: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” We Are Unique We are a little different from most churches ... We believe that each person is created by God with a unique passion, with specific spiritual gifts, and with a specific style of doing things. These form our “Servant Profile.” We believe the purpose of our life is to complete the unique mission that God has designed for each of us. This includes being involved in an ongoing process of deepening our relationship with Jesus Christ, loving and serving others and using our servant profile to accomplish the goals that God has set for us. We believe the purpose of our church is to provide us with a place where we can discover God's love for us, develop a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ and, through using our Servant Profile, live the life God desires of us. This is the process of life. It not only helps us endure the many trials we face, it also helps us find meaning, joy, and peace.
We Are Purpose Driven Following the example of Saddleback Valley Community Church, Community Congregational Church is organized on the “Purpose Driven” model of ministry. The goal is to help people fulfill their God-given mission in life.
The Christian journey begins once we have discovered the depth of love that God has for us and responded to that spiritual awakening. This love is offered to us no matter where we have been and is a love that overcomes any pain we have known.
We develop our relationship with God through daily prayer, weekly worship, participation in Bible Study and participation in a Small Group where we can share the joys and struggles of living our faith with other believers.
Once we have a significant relationship with Jesus and know our Servant Profile, we come to understand the unique mission that God has designed for each of us. Community Congregational Church will help you to live the life that God desires for you so you can know a joy that overcomes pain and a peace that surpasses all understanding. We See The Day...
Our Church's Vision Statement is: “We see the day when the portraits of our lives reflect the image and glory of God!” In I Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul compares the church to a human body. And, just as a body is only fully healthy and whole when all of the parts are there and fulfilling their purpose, a church is only fully healthy and whole when all of its people are there and fulfilling their life's purpose. Our portrait will only be complete when you have joined us, have discovered God's love, developed your relationship with Jesus, and are living your life's purpose.
